Out of School Care (OOSC)

The Roots and Wings Out of School Care Program (OOSC) runs in parallel to the school year here in Grand Forks – with fulltime sessions running through the summer. The goal is to provide children, ages 5-12, with an active and engaging environment when the school day is over. We know well the mad dash that can occur in trying to leave work or other commitments on time to pick up your children who may finish the day a bit earlier than you. To help relieve some of that pressure, we are now running this program year-round.

Roots and Wings neighbors Perley Elementary and can arrange for pickup after school. Unfortunately, we cannot do this for any other elementary schools.

We are always looking for new things do with the OOSC group. Some of the activites you’ll likely find us doing include:

  • Swimming
  • Visiting the Spray Park
  • Visiting the Library
  • Playing Games at the Boardroom Café
  • Grabbing a snack downtown
  • And more

Children can attend Mon & Wed, Tues & Thurs, Fridays, or any combination of those options.

School Year Hours: Monday – Thursday, the center will run 3:15pm – 5:00pm, while running 8:00am – 5:00pm on Fridays.
Summer Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.
Spring Break: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.
